Dubai: Daman Investments has announced the appointment of Al Habtoor Leighton Group as the new main contractor for its large‐scale project, The Buildings by Daman at the Dubai International Financial Centre. The appointment is effective immediately and work has commenced on the project under the new team.
Managing Director of Daman Investments, Shehab Gargash, stated: “As announced at the end of January, we have bid the work on the building and have gone through a rigorous process of tender, evaluation and finally, the appointment of Al Habtoor Leighton Group as our new main contractor. We are extremely pleased to be working with a group of their quality and track record here in the U.A.E. Work has commenced on the building and we all look forward to a rapid completion.”
Speaking on behalf of Al Habtoor Leighton Group, Mr. Riad Tawfiq Al Sadek, the Group Chairman said: “We are very happy to have been appointed as the new main contractor on this prestigious project. This is a landmark location, a superb design and we are sure the building will be a new icon on the Dubai skyline. We are looking forward to a smooth takeover and start of operations.”
Daman Investments and Al Habtoor Leighton Group also announced their intention to release a phased delivery schedule for the project. New milestones and delivery details will be released in the coming weeks.
